La giustapposizione di contesti diversi innesca, nel video, un corto circuito tra due realtà, una spensierata e vacanziera, l’altra politica, ad alto contenuto sociale. Il discorso storico di Silvio Berlusconi, la sua “discesa in campo” del lontano 1994, segna drammaticamente la storia italiana degli ultimi decenni. Un’irruzione epocale di un nuovo e inquietante soggetto elettorale che cambia il vecchio scenario politico. La sua voce vincente e rassicurante funge da colonna sonora per le danze estive di importazione commercial-caraibica; movimenti estranei all’Italia, movimenti d’importazione a basso costo intellettuale. Tutto il resto nel video è affidato al caso e alle coincidenze involontarie che generano tante possibili metafore.

The juxtaposition of different contexts creates, in the video, haywire between the two realities, one which brings a holiday vibe and the other linked to the political and social context. The historical speech of Silvio Berlusconi, and his entry into politics back in 1994, signed the history of the last decade of Italy dramatically. The irruption of a new and disturbing political identity has changed the old political scene. His powerful and reassuring voice has been used as a soundtrack for the summer dance with a background in advertising and Caribbean music; moves unknown to Italy, moves imported for a low intellectual prize. Everything else in the video is left to casualty and the involuntary coincidence that create a multitude of metaphor.
