Due inquadrature, due paesaggi, uno al dritto e l’altro capovolto che si toccano al centro; i luoghi da cui ho ripreso questi orizzonti appartengono alla mia nascita (l’ospedale di Formia, video in basso) e alla mia attuale residenza (il terrazzo condominiale del mio studio da cui si vede una parte di Roma). La ripresa è senza cavalletto e ognuna segue un iter casuale, contemplativo. I movimenti della mia mano, lo zoom e il volgersi casuale dell’obiettivo, interagiscono nei due video in maniera involontaria, ricreando un terzo paesaggio, frutto del continuo slittare di un contesto sull’altro.

Two shots, two landscapes, one straight and the other one upside down which touch at the centre; the places from which I recorded these two horizons are linked to my birth (the Formia’s Hospital, video at the bottom) and my current house (the terrace of my studio from which you can see part of Rome). The shooting has been done without a tripod and, each follows an accidental, contemplative process. The movement of my hand, the zoom and the random turning of the lens, interact in the two videos involuntarily, recreating a third landscape, the result of the continue sliding of a context on the other.
